What to Check Before You Buy

The cutting system takes the most abuse on a concrete or asphalt shredder. Inspect every tooth and cutter for wear, chipping, and cracking. Check the shaft bearings and gearbox for smooth rotation. On machines that have processed rebar-heavy material, look closely for bent or broken teeth and signs of impact damage on the shaft housing.
