Browse feeder stackers for sale — combined hopper, feeder, and stacking conveyor units from Screen USA and other manufacturers. A feeder stacker accepts material from a loader into a receiving hopper, meters it onto a conveyor belt, and stacks it into a stockpile — all in one self-contained machine. GrinderCrusherScreen carries new and used feeder stackers for aggregate, mulch, compost, and recycling operations. Call 770-433-2670 for pricing and availability.

How a Feeder Stacker Works

A feeder stacker combines three functions into a single unit: a receiving hopper where a loader dumps material, a feeder at the bottom of the hopper that meters material onto the conveyor at a controlled rate, and a stacking conveyor that carries the material up and discharges it onto a stockpile.

The result is a complete material handling solution in one machine. A loader fills the hopper, the feeder regulates flow, and the conveyor builds a stockpile — no additional equipment needed between the loader and the pile. This makes feeder stackers popular for operations that need simple, efficient stockpile building without the complexity of a full conveying circuit.

Common applications include:

  • Mulch and compost yards — building finished product stockpiles from screened or ground material
  • Aggregate operations — stockpiling screened stone, sand, and gravel
  • Recycling facilities — building stockpiles of sorted and processed material
  • Topsoil operations — stacking screened topsoil for sale or use

Feeder Stackers vs. Standalone Components

A feeder stacker replaces a separate hopper/feeder and a separate stacking conveyor with a single integrated machine. The trade-off is flexibility: standalone components can be arranged in more configurations, but a feeder stacker sets up faster and requires less coordination between machines.

For a standalone hopper/feeder without the stacking conveyor, see feeders and hoppers. For a stacker without the feed hopper, see radial stackers. Browse all conveyors and stackers.

What to Check Before You Buy

Inspect the hopper for wear-through at impact zones. Check the feeder mechanism for smooth, consistent operation. Inspect the conveyor belt for tracking, splice condition, and wear. Check the frame, hinges, and hydraulic lift for the stacking conveyor elevation adjustment. Verify the power source and overall structural condition.
