Dustless Blasting, established in 1941 as Sanstorm by F.H. Roselle, has been a pioneer in the abrasive blasting industry. Roselle's invention of the Abrasive Blasting Machine marked the company's inception. In 1946, operating as Myers Welding & Fabrication in Fresno, California, Bill Myers secured a patent for the control valve, a crucial component in sandblasting technology. The company relocated to Houston, Texas, in 1970, where it continues its operations today. After a series of acquisitions, MMLJ purchased Sanstorm in 1994 and introduced SodaBlasting systems. By 2009, MMLJ began developing Dustless Blasting® equipment, leading to its manufacturing in 2010 and a patent in 2015.
Dustless Blasting offers a range of equipment designed for various surface preparation needs. The DB500® is among the most popular machines, ideal for larger jobs and light industrial work. It holds up to 20 gallons of water and 200 lbs of abrasive, allowing approximately one hour of continuous blast time. This machine operates efficiently with a 185+ CFM air compressor.
Another notable machine is the DB800®, suitable for tasks ranging from small jobs to larger industrial projects. It accommodates up to 30 gallons of water and 300 lbs of abrasive, providing up to 1.5 hours of continuous blast time. The higher capacity reduces the need for frequent refills, enhancing productivity. This machine also operates effectively with a 185+ CFM air compressor.
